ColorOS 17UPDATE GUIDEWhat happened to OxygenOS?
The official OnePlus statement describes a voluntary ColorOS upgrade for eligible existing devices after release. An old rule of thumb that ColorOS applies only to China-market OnePlus phones is therefore insufficient for the 2026 transition. Use the current notice for your model and region.
The published official-version plan
The image in OnePlus’s launch announcement lists these 24 models in its global official-version plan. This is not an India-specific guaranteed schedule. Dates remain subject to model, region and carrier differences; as of 16 October, the dates below are future plans.
| Planned window | Officially listed models |
|---|---|
| 29 October 2026 | OnePlus 15; OnePlus Pad 4 |
| 30 October 2026 | OnePlus 15R; OnePlus 13; OnePlus 13s |
| November 2026 | OnePlus Open; OnePlus 13R; OnePlus 12; OnePlus Nord 6; OnePlus Nord CE6; OnePlus Pad 3 |
| December 2026 | OnePlus 12R; OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition; OnePlus 11; OnePlus Nord 5; OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite; OnePlus Nord CE5; OnePlus Pad 2; OnePlus Pad Go 2 |
| Q1 2027 | OnePlus Nord 4; OnePlus N6; OnePlus N6x; OnePlus N6 Lite; OnePlus Pad Lite |
These are not confirmed OTA deliveries to individual phones. Check the full official roadmap for an unlisted model and preserve suffixes such as R, CE and Lite when matching a name. Do not borrow a date from OPPO’s separate schedule.
India beta is a different channel
The verified India beta notices had a 9–12 October application window. That window is closed. An approved beta participant may follow a different path from someone waiting for the official version, so compare both the channel and the build when discussing updates.
Choose your next step
If your phone is listed, keep its current build and region handy and watch the matching official announcement. If it is not listed, ask OnePlus about that precise model instead of interpreting an absence as permanent exclusion.
Before changing systems, review the apps and settings that matter to you and keep a backup. Read the release notes for the actual offered build. For a beta rollback, follow its specific official procedure and data-loss warning. The update guide explains how to distinguish OTA installation from unrelated APK and firmware searches.
